Default '85 ParCar Lift Kit

Picked up this '85 Columbia a month ago for $250. Within a few weeks of driving around, the front leaf spring broke in half and the replacement spring was gonna be ~$200. I ended up finding a trailer spring that had the same eye to eye spacing but was about 3" taller. Had to make a lift kit for the rear to match the front. Here are a few pics of the finished lift. I ended up having to make axle spacers, engine rod mount spacer, and a shock spacer.

Nice work. Every now and then we get folks here looking for to lift a Par Car but kits are no longer made. Your ingenuity might allow people to get a couple or three inches should people want to do it.

Excellent, best idea I have seen, got my mind going. I have '89 so a little different but same principle.
Does original drive belt length work?
Would you have picture of front spring replacement? and did original steering linkage adjust to accommodate aditional 3"?
Stengal Bros.com has a replacement spring that sounds as though it will fit but was wondering where you found yours.

I used a generic trailer spring. The PN was UNA-035. It looks to be available at multiple places for $30-50.

The steering linkage worked just fine, just had to adjust to keep the alignment right.
