Yamaha R6 engine in 1993 Club Car
Got this cart from a buddy last month for $200. I scrap'd the old batteries for $80, took out the rear end and got a 05 yfz450 4 wheeler complete rear end from eBay for $250 shipped. Another buddy gave me his wrecked 03 Yamaha R6 with 27,000 miles for $150 and I put a 6" lift on front that was $200 on eBay. I bought some wheel adapters for the front and got some brand new 25" tires and wheels off an arctic cat from some rich guy around town for $150 (fb marketplace). Took the roof off and drilled out all rivets from the old screen that was on it and bondo and sanded all the holes. I've got it about ready to do the swap now, got a buddy to do it cause I'm not that mechanically inclined. Going to paint it Oil Dipped Bronze when its finished. I will try and keep posting as I do stuff.

Here's a pic of the donor bike and the smoked tailights I just put on, everything will be coming back off when I paint it. Taking it to my buddy's shop tomorrow, will post updates.

That looks like it'd be a blast! Did your buddy make much progress on the power plant swap?

Re: Yamaha R6 engine in 1993 Club Car
I can post about the need for safety and brakes, cause I've built it. Yamaha cart, Honda CBR 1000RR, mini Sprint rear axle and components, Wilwood brakes, lots of fabrication, did I mention lots of fabrication?
My cart ran WAY faster than a cart ever should have. |

Well a year later and it is starting to look like something. My friend that was supposed to get it done let it sit and never did anything to it so I finally got it back and now my other friend is actually getting it done! I will post more as we move forward
