starts when key is turned

M y EZGO 244 cc motor starts to roll over when I turn the key on, this a nuisance. Is this caused because something needs to be adjusted or do I probably have to replace a part

You will find the problem in a sticking accelerator pedal, (not coming all the way back up) or the adjustments in the throttle linkage or micro switch if yours has one.

Thank you very much, the throttle was sticking. I find that the engines tends to backfire, is this caused by too much gas going through the carb and is there a screw that can be adjusted to fix this.

adjust your throttle cable tostop the back fire.
butterfly in the carb is open to soon.
