Default Cant get steering wheel off?

Im trying to get the steerinf wheel off my Yamaha cart. Dosent look like wheel pullers would work with the plastic wheel. Ive tried soaking with WD-40 and pulling, beating on the shaft wile pulling but so far not a budge.. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

dude i have been in that spot i just loosen the nut a few threads than take a 3 pound hammer and nail the nut dead in the center hard. it has worked every time so far.

Hitting the shaft is not recommended, that on some cars will cause you to have to go into the steering column and fix that. Yamahas are the easiest to get off. The way that works best is remove the nut and hit the back of the steering wheel with a rubber mallet, but lets say that didn't work. Then take a pickle fork, and stick it between the steering wheel and the steering column and hit it, that will pop it off.
