precedent camber
I just replaced the bushings in my 2006 Precedent. Before the replacment the camber was correct. Now the cart has what I call the Yamaha squat, that is both the front tires bottom side out are leaning to the outside of the cart. Any ideas how to correct this problem
Thanks, Tommy |

Re: precedent camber
Well... it all depends on your definition of "Correct" I'm assuming you mean that you'd like for them to sit flat without leaning at all. The front leaf spring has an eccentric cam in the middle of it and can allow the spring to slide to the left or right, which actually pushes or pulls the bottom of the kingpin further or towards the center of the car. One side goes one way and one side goes another. Per Club Car specs, set the camber equal on each side. The condition you describe is perfectly normal. Put a full grown adult in the cart and take a look at the camber. It should flatten out quite a bit. The only way you can really change anything is to experiment with different front springs. They'll vary a hair here and there, but you'll end up with pretty close to the same measurement every time.

Re: precedent camber
Thanks for the reply. I, using a Club Car manual have adjusted the spring as you said. The problem is even with no one in the cart, the wheels lean out on the bottom. What I'm getting at is, I don't want to ruin the front tires. And as you said outside of different spings I see no way to correct my problem. I was hoping someone knew of a way to correct this. Anyway thanks for your reply. Also, Tahoe Dog a word of thanks for you sharing your knowledge with the rest of us.

Re: precedent camber
I have heard that "Jakes" makes a kingpin alignment kit for CC Precedent that may HELP you with the adjustment. I have an 07 that has the same problem and will one day try the kit....Frank
