Default Update on cart running slow not charging

Okay so my cart was running slow and not seemed to be charging, we changed the batteries, which was some improvement on the speed, but very little, we changed the ITS switch, the micro switch and the solonoid, but it was still running slow and still didn't seem like it was charging, finally brought it to the golf cart place, they said it was the limit switch which apparently when this starts going out you get slow speed, so he didn't change it but only disconnected it...so now cart running GREAT, you know it seems like somebody would have known to tell me this...thanks

ok I have been working on carts for quite some time, but I have never seen a "limit switch" on a TXT cart. Can you please tell me exactly what part he disconnected? Take a picture of it if you can't describe it please.

I agree,a limit switch is only on a club car for reverse.

about the only "switches" he could have disconnected that I can think of are either the "reed switch" or the F&R micro switch, neither of which should have improved the speed of the cart and neither of which would have had ANY effect on the charging of the cart...... I'm very seriously interested in what "limit switch" he could have disconnected that allowed for not only an increase in the speed but also allowed the charger to function normally.

I'm with you Donnapaula.......it's an absolute outrage that not one person on this free forum bothered to tell you anything about disconnecting a "limit switch". The utter gall of some people just astounds me.
On the other had maybe everyone knew but you and they all ganged up on you to keep it a secret from you. I can certainly see why you feel persecuted. Personally, I think you should sue.

Well it is actually called the "hill brake" you know it is the little foot switch on the top of the brake pedal. You just switch it off and it is amazing how much better the cart runs......
