Wheel and tire fitment
First time post on the site. Looking to upgrade the wheel and tires on my 1997 CC DS. Looking to add a set of on road wheels and tires to the stock suspension setup. I would like to go with larger diameter wheels. 12" is the goal or larger if I can get away with out having to modify the suspension. Eventually I may consider lowering the cart, so whatever wheel and tire combo I go with will have to be able to accommodate suspension lowering. Question is, what is the largest wheel and tire combo I can get away with without having to modify the suspension, but will allow for possibly lowering the ride height for the future. All suggestions and pics would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Wheel and tire fitment
I have 12s on my 2000.5 DS. The tire size is 205/50/12. You can see a pic on my build thread.

I went with 215/40-12 tires with 12" -20mm offset wheels. I did install a 1" block up front and longer rear shackles to bring the rear up 1". I didn't want a lift at all but with the larger than stock tires it looks stock. This package should fit without the 1" lift. I don't know if you could lower it though. I wanted the little extra clearance in the rear since I have a rear seat and the front block leveled it out. |

Re: Wheel and tire fitment
205/65-10 will fit most. Maybe a lo-pro kit...
They ride so much nicer too. |
