Default 1990 club car 36 voltl

I have a 1990 36 volt club car when I push the gas pedal to the floor it will not go. Sometimes it will, but most of the time it stops. You have to hold the pedal about 1 inch off the floor before it will go. Any suggestions?

when it won,t go can you hear the soleniod click? if not jack the rear up and with key off jump large post on solenoid then turn key on put in gear press pedal see if cart runs..................if so bad solenoid, even before that check battery cables make sure they are tight and cable ends clean don,t just look at them get touchy feely with them..........check battery voltage with a volt meter................if your ok there and when cart acts up i would start with solenoid........also look between your front batts on drivers side see if theres a blavk box thats the V-glide it controls speed you could be having a issue there if the contacts are wearing down............................

if the movable arm is missing the speed contacts and you can fix that not hard yes you,ll gain your speed, 1st thing is take it out to see what the inner workings look like.........................................
