Alltrax Dcx500, 400a solenoid, 2 gauge cables
I have a two week old Alltrax DCX 500 programable controller with fuse and club car IQ adapter, a 400 amp continuous HD solenoid with resistor and diode, and a set of High thread 2 gauge welding wire cables with soldered and shrink wrapped ends. I bought all of these about 3 weeks ago and installed into my Club Car IQ. I had a friend that works for EZGO, and he gave me a deal I couldn't pass up on a RXV. Part of the deal was I had to sell the club car. So I did, and the person who bought my golf cart didn't want the upgrades. Everything is like brand new. I will sell all for $525, but I am willing to part out.
Thanks |

OK I see it won't work on series motors.

Chad will you take $400? It's for a Precedent correct?

Sorry, not for everything. I will take $400 for just the controller. As far as I know the precedent is an iq cart. I had it on a DS. I think the only difference is mine had 6 8v batts and yours probably has 4 12v.

Re: Alltrax Dcx500, 400a solenoid, 2 gauge cables
That might work because I really need to have wires sooner than I can get yours. Mine are shot and the new batteries are coming today. I want them installed asap and charging with fresh wire. Plus, my neighbor just brought over a roll of 4 AWG wire last night and some lugs to get me started. Won't take much and I'll have a set built so maybe we can do the controller. How do we verify if it's the right one for my 06 CC Precedent? I don't even know if has a selonoid. I don't see one on my cart but I'm a novice... let's get this figured out.

Maybe Scottb can chime in here but on Cartsunlimited.com he has the
DCX500IQ controller in a package with the selonoid. Does yours say DCX500IQ? |

You will need a HD solenoid as well. The stock one can't handle the current. I'll do both for $430. Will have to check on shipping though.

Re: Alltrax Dcx500, 400a solenoid, 2 gauge cables
Is a controller a controller as far as CC is concerned? Is it the ADAPTER that makes this controller work on a Precedent IQ system? What does that do, convert the multi pin plug so it fits my harness?
I have no problem with $430 if you're including the solenoid and adapter. I had mine all apart last night replacing the old wires with the 4 AWG I built and did notice the solenoid. Obviously I have a lot to learn about this thing. |

Re: Alltrax Dcx500, 400a solenoid, 2 gauge cables
The dcx controller is for all shunt wound motors. It iq system is a shunt motor. The adapter is just like what you'd use putting an aftermarket radio into your car, it gets all the wires lined up for the iq harness. The iq systems in the ds and precedent are the same, I called a club car tech. Your solenoid is a small black thing with a resistor on it. The positive lead from your battery connects directly to it. When changing wires, you'll need to change all the 6ga wires, not just the ones across your batts.
