big block G2 question

i installed my big block this weekend but have one issue. with the new motor can i hook the throttle cable directly from the pedal to the motor or do i still have to run it thru the rear-end? on a G2 the throttle cable goes to the rear end first then there is another cable that went to the carburetor of the old engine. please help if you have suggestions....... thanks michael

Hook the cable directly to the carb. Thats what i did with my big block in my G2. The part the cable runs 2 on the rear end is just the governer to the old engine it is no longer needed for a big block.

Mine is foot to carb as well.

thanks for the info. i will have to fab a bracket for the throttle tomorrow. but if all goes well by the end of the week i will be testing the new set-up out. thanks for the great info....

I tried it both ways and end up going back to the governor arm cable to the carb.
