I messed up my Lights! Help Please.
New to working on my cart. I took off my dash on my 99 club car ds without disconnecting battery (I know, not smart) and shorted light switch to the frame. Now I have no lights. Can not find use. Cart is stock. Suggestions?

Thanks for reply. I am lucky, most everything works fine, cart runs, brake lights work etc, but no headlights. I assuming there is some fuse somewhere, but I can't find it. Switch also tested good.

Re: I messed up my Lights! Help Please.
I did the same thing, replaced the bulbs and dimmer switch and the headlights worked again. When I pulled out switch I rubbed both terminals against something in the dash and “poof”… Lesson learned was to disconnect batteries cables prior to pulling anything that has “power” associated to it… very lucky I didn’t fry anything else. Not saying this will resolve your issue, but it did mine (97 DS).

Re: I messed up my Lights! Help Please.
fuses are usually uner the seat coming off one of the batteries (usually on the passenger side)
take a look at the batteries and if you see a smaller wire on one of the posts thats usually a wire for accesories and should be fused. |
