I am new to Buggiesgonewild And have owned an E Merge 2 for about 18 months. I love driving the Tomberlin LSV and do not regret my decision to own it. However lately I have noticed an over heat problem with the Charging system. I read here last week that Tomberlin had suggested to another owner to put a fan on the charger. Now I place a 20" box fan across the seat while it is tipped up and the seat back. NOw there are no over heat problems and batteries remain a lot cooler while charging. I have noticed that the Charger is trying to over charge the batteries - it tries to take the Bulk Charge to around 62 volts before droppping back to float charge. I compute based on the Trojan recommendation that bulk charge should be about 56 to 58 volts. I noticed that the origional batteries were boiling during charge and contaminating the cart frame with Battery acid and corrosion. I noticed this tendency to over charge when I first got the cart and spoke to the dealer where I purchased it and was told that the "62 volts was about right" So I
