Re: How do we speed it up?
Got a 2010 E-2 with a Curtis SepEx 1244 500amp controller. There must be a way to change the settings on it to get another 5 to 10mph. Anyone have some info?

You will need the 1314-4401 PC Programming Software from Curtis Instruments if you want to make any modifications. There is another website that has a very active forum regarding your questions. Google: tomberlin parameters and you will find it. Cheers, Dirty V |

Re: How do we speed it up?
I think I am very close to solving the mystery. Also I'm leaving town for a few days and am waiting on a professional USB to serial converter that I found out is required with Vista and Windows 7. The cheap ones have communication issues in 7. All I have are two laptops with Windows 7 and USB ports. My first try found the controller but had the communications issue. I'll probably do my next try this weekend.

Re: How do we speed it up?
I was reading a post from UFGator and he has already programed his to go 30+, he used a GE Senry Software and plugged into the E-2 controller to change the top speed. He said it cost him 125.00 with cables Has anyone here anything of this?

Re: How do we speed it up?
My 2010 Tomberlin seems to governed at 24mph. Level or down hill. Any kind of incline it starts dropping quickly. I also would like to get a little more speed and power.
I assume I would have to upgrade the controller to get more power? |

Re: How do we speed it up?
Now that I have about 700 miles on my 2008, it pretty much runs at 26mph the whole time, except for going uphill. For the first 300 miles or so I couldn't seem to get it over 22-23mph. I even took it to the dealer to ask what's up. He told me they get better as they break in. I have never seen it above 26 mph however.
