Post 2008 Tomberlin Emerge Charger Receptacle Cord

New to the Forum.

I recently just purchased, 2008 Tomberlin. That said, while charging overnight I noticed the the charging receptacle cord had melted into the extension cord I had plugged into the wall. Eventually I got the two separated, however, now the 3 prong charging cord is bad. Anyone have any ideas or know if I can replace the cord vice the whole receptacle? Also, I looked in the manual but haven’t seen a part number. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

-Adrian

I think the changer can be opened and a new whip installed by an electrical tech. I will add, when I bought my 08, it had new batteries and an updated charger. The previous owner stressed, multiple times not to use an extention cord with the charger. out of curiosity, I connected an extension cord to see if anything got hot. I didnt notice any heat ..but if you have the original charger, take this into consideration

Yea. In the manual, it says it can be charged by and extension cord that’s 12AWG. Also, I took apart the charger and going to replace the power cord, shouldn’t be too hard. Thanks for the info. I’ll let you know how it goes..
