ezgo 72 volt turbo button
I have three brand new sealed 12v 18ah batteries from another project, and was wondering can the extra 36volts be wired directly to the motor and used when wanted by a switch that would send the extra 36 volts to the motor? Like a nos button haha. I know it would only last a short amount of time but it would be fun.

Re: ezgo 72 volt turbo button
Doubt it because I suspect we are talking about very small batteries here, unless the 18ah was a typo.

Re: ezgo 72 volt turbo button
I don't know about fun, but it might get exciting when those sealed batteries explode.
I know you would be bypassing the controller, but even a stock controller will allow the motor to try to draw 275A through those sealed 18AH batteries. I'm not sure if it would be a Mushroom cloud or just a meltdown, but I'm pretty sure the results would be spectacular. |

Maybe so, but some of us would like to hear a few words on what happened.

Re: ezgo 72 volt turbo button
Although I am guilty of wanting to use my remaining 4 12V Gel batteries to increase the range of my ezgo, I am also guilty of thinking about trying my performance with just the 3 12v. Sorry but I did not do anything that fun or adventurous to destroy that battery. It was merely in the wrong place at the wrong time.. or maybe it was the result of being over discharged one to many times..
here is more of the story. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/newre...treply&t=71164 |
