Question Yamaha body material and paint???

I am retired from 40+ years of yacht repair, and in that time did a lot of painting and gelcoat repair. Outside of a few truck bodies, never repaired and painted automotive, snomobile or golf carts. The few Yamaha PWC’s that I dealt with worked out with epoxy resins and various fiber fabrics for structural repair; and with simple basecoat-clearcoat paint systems before vinyl graphic films were applied.

I am confident in being able to repair my G16 cart body efficiently, and would like some materials knowledge before starting my cart project. The neighborhood Yamaha carts from model G14 to G22 have these very flexible ivory white colored bodies.

My questions are:
First: what plastic are the bodies of the yamaha carts made of?
Second: what finish coat plastic/paint is applied on the outer surface?

It looks to me that a two part mold was used to make the bodies, as they appear to be very uniform in thickness.

The body parts for G14/16/22/29" are "Injected Olifin" and automotive paint.

Thanks Smallblock450sl, for the word “olefin”, it is weldable! Adventures in Plastics, oh yeah.
