Default Battery monitor & shunt wiring

Getting ready to install the shunt and battery meter that came with the Extreme Team lithium battery, and was curious if anyone had any tips or a good diagram for install?

Looks like I will also need a couple of new wires, does anyone have a link to an easy kit that would work for this?

Did you get the thumb drive with your battery? There's a diagram on there. I originally installed mine, but took it out just to get rid of the clutter. My old voltage meter works with the battery and i use the app on my phone.

Have you had any problems with the battery shutting off? Mine does if i peg the gas pedal off a dead stop, immediately.

When you wired it up what cable did you use?

I haven't had any issues like that at all, but my cart also has stock motor and controller.

For the power wire i just grabbed a piece of like 20 ga or so from work. i got a new 2 ga made w/ 3/8 ring terminals to run from the shunt to the battery negative. I had all the other negatives going to the shunt, and positives going to the batt pos.

The ExtremeTeam might sell a kit for that. If not, you just need to find someone to make you a 2 ga short piece of wire with ring terminals on each end. For the smaller wires, I would use 12-14ga and you can pick that up anywhere along with ring terminals to crimp on the ends.
