Default Neither Bike or ATV...

Hello, all! Currently, I have a 1979 Suzuki Spirit 3000 sled motor installed that makes 30hp, which isn't bad. But, I may have the opportunity to acquire a 1997 Polaris Indy 700 EFI making , uh, significantly more power... How power much can the stock rear end actually take before significant issues will arrise? Thanks in advance!

I put this sled motor in a EZGO long time ago, 7000 RPM was 50 MPH with the stock gas engine rear axle. It would throw a one wheel rooster tail pretty good and never broke. Sold it and don't know what become of it.

I have a 431 cc Suzuki in my harley cart rated @ 43 hp. Built it in 2016 and haven't broke anything yet. It can easily smoke a tire. My whole build is in the sled section.

You lucky duck! My 339cc Suzuki didn't come with electric start or oil injection... The oil injection is a big part of why I want to cannibalize a complete, running sled.

I didn't use the oil injection but the electric starter was an absolute must along with the complete drive clutch and header. The seller thru in a sort of wiring harness. Better yet I picked up a spare complete electric start engine for dirt cheap. It has all but the clutch. It's pic is on page 15 of my build.
