Default VC625 kit in lifted G16 cart?

I have a stock ride height G16 cart that I bought a VC625 kit for. However today I picked up another G16 that has a budget lift on it..

Will the VC625 kit work without any major modifications? Only thing I notice is the engine is at more of an angle than stock because of the angle of the swingarm.

Thanks!

Oh, it appears to be a 6" budget lift..

Heyyy!

When you say budget lift is that a nice way to say Mickey Mouse made it? If so there could be a problem. The most important thing to consider is the angle of the engine while on flat ground. You should be no more than 10 degrees. IF this is the case, you need to space the engine up from the motor mount on the low side. Other than that, check for clearance issues on the air filter, exhaust header/ muffler.

Can you take some pictures for us all to see what you are working with?

Will try to take some pictures tonight! Thanks!

By 'budget' I mean it is one of the $99 kits I've seen advertised. Basically extended rear shock brackets and front 'plates' that drop the front suspension.. The swing arm is unmodified therefore at a steeper angle than factory leaning down toward the rear. Wondering if there is some sort of drop bracket for the front of the swing arm that could correct the angle..

You my want to remove the cheap lift kit and get the cart back to normal. This way you can mount the engine properly. Budget lift kits that move the shock mounts can through the cart geometry's off making the steering and overall handling poor.

Cart actually handles surprisingly well. Currently at 27mph with no handling issues. But I get your point.

Here are a few pictures and info.. Leading edge of stock motor plate is 12" off ground. Rear edge is 8" off ground. Plate is 20" front to back.

I'm not a fan of lift kits but for the reason of safety. While you may know how to control the over steer, someone else might not. Adding a 625cc will add 10+ MPH minimum!

The angle doesn't make me feel any better, I'd either look to make a custom bracket to lower the front of the engine cradle, or add a spacer between the engine and the engine mount.

Cart looks clean.

If you keep the lift kit -- you'll need to drop the front of the engine cradle. It needs to be as level as possible. Like Aaron said 10 degrees or less because the 625 has a pressure oiling system. If it sits at an incline of more then 10 degrees its possible the oil pump might suck air. If this happens multiple times you could loose the engine.
