Floor Mat
Dumb question, how do you take the floor mat out of an '05 Precedent? Is it attached somehow, or does it just lift out? I need to get in there to do some housecleaning and lube the pedals. Thank you!

Re: Floor Mat
remove the top screws in the plastic rocker panels I think the bolts go through holes in the mat.

Re: Floor Mat
Turns out I just had to loosen the rocker panel screws, they don't go through the mat. The mat has semi-circular cutouts to go around the screws. Other than that it just slides under the edge of the seat trim in the back, over the pedals and up under the dash. No fasteners at all.
I found all kinds of crap under there, stones, dirt, leaves (I ride in the country). Cleaned everything up best I could. But, I couldn't get the bolts out to remove the pedal assembly. It takes two different size Torx bits and I only had a screwdriver for one of the sizes, and it was stuck too tight for a screwdriver. I tried to spray lube on the pedal assemblies through the opening for the cables the best I could. Next time I'll have a Torx socket set ready! |
