Default Battery Water Filler Jug With Auto Shutoff

I see these advertised but never owned one. I see some advertised on Amazon but a few reviews said that they did not shut off.

These aren't expensive but do they actually work? Do local auto stores carry them?

Also if you accidentally over fill a battery do you try to lower the level or just let it boil out over time and clean up the over flow?

The cells on my PDS are easy to see, but I also have 4 batteries on my houseboat that due to location are difficult to check and fill. If these actually work that would be wonderful for that.

These can work, If you over fill a cell it is best to use a turkey baster to remove the water and spread it out into the other cells rather than let it boil out and corrode the trays.

For best results make sure filler is flat against fill hole and push all the way down.

I used mine for half of the first cell and threw it away. It's faster and easier to just use the red rubber battery filler.

I've been using them since the 70s and never had a problem. Technique is everything.
