Default TXT wheels turning too much caused by missing steering dampener?

I'm wrapping up my 97' Txt project, and noticed today that if you turn too sharp the wheels are almost sideways causing the cart to get stuck. I had to reverse to straighten up the wheels. I have a 5" axle lift,23" tires, and 2" spacers. I noticed that the steering dampener is missing from the front. Can this cause this, or is it normal? I found the post below, but I don't really understand how to fix it. The bottom pic must be what mine is doing.

"If you have moved the front wheels forward and the steering box or rack is still in the same place you will run into this problem.
What you need to do is stop the outer tierod from crossing the straight line between the spindle kingpin and inner tierod when turning.
You can do this with spindle stops but it might effect your turning radius,
moving the steering box or rack forward,
See if you can move the spindle steering arms closer to the tires if you are using wheel spacers."

not sure what you mean by steering dampener. mine doesn't have one. i also had a 5' axle lift but had no probs. have you checked your toe in? should be about 1/8 to 1/4" in.

I corrected it by putting a longer bolt where the lift attaches to the spindle, so that it hits the axle when you turn too sharp. I will check my toe in also.
