help with year pls

with the serial plate not clearly readable.....can you help with the year of my ez go

I'm thinking mid 80's

36v
f/r under seat
3 batt left- side 3 right
metal body
unable to supply photos @ this time
any other tips/clues???

a roof and "pick-up box" was added after purchase

serial plate numbers are all in one line.... in separate unpainted
sections

first section is ?? 8012???
second is
2168?4

I' would assume as it ends in a 4 it would be a 84??

but I would like to confirm year and model........
it started as a ???
lol now its a QUEST!...lol

It is a Marathon cart.

Is the motor over the axle or in-bewteen the batteries? Does it have an electronic speed control or a resistor speed control?

the motor sits at right angle to rear axle,,,,the controller I think had definite positions for speeds

83-85...could be 84 like you said but that number is no good.

What tells me its a marathon?...everything you have said. Marathon...A.K.A. X-car.

would I run into any parts problems if I just "adopt" 84???
if I cant get any further????

I just bought it, clean, new seat covers,roof, new windshield,
re-brushed and cleaned motor, new controller?? 18 month old Interstates......new heavy cables, rattle can paint job, new mats..
lights, and rear utility box, new turf tires back, new "golf course tires" front

paid 1300.00 ?????? was it my bad????????

To help YOU determine what you have. Does your cart look like the one in the pic.....if so then you have a marathon. Marathon carts were made for many years and most, if not all, the parts are the same. Except GAS.

Until you can come up with a good number all anyone can do is guess what you have.
