re: G9 frame repair w/swing arm drop
Thanks!! I don't mind at all.
The front bracket where the cables attach I moved rearward an inch or so. You can see the bracket i'm talking about in this pic. Then I added enough adjusting rod to the brake equalizer to reach the cables. Hope this helps. 100_1593.jpg |

re: G9 frame repair w/swing arm drop
The reason to lower the front of the swing arm is to level out the engine.
Really only needs to be done as you increase the lift of the cart. When I was greater than 8" lift, the v-twin was sitting on too steep of an angle. Also it's a good time to move the entire assembly rearward to increase the wheelbase. My shifter cables worked no problem, passenger side brake cable worked no problem. To reach on the drivers side, I moved the bracket (where the front of the cable is mounted) rearward. |

re: G9 frame repair w/swing arm drop
I have always wondered this about the G9s. Bear in mind that I haven't looked at them really closely, but I would like to know...
Say only one wheel hits a bump in the rear. With two mounts up front, and two on the axle, how can just one side of the axle move? There would have to be some flex in there somewhere, would there not? Are the bushings that giving? Please inform me... |

re: G9 frame repair w/swing arm drop
I guess the front bushings will flex a little but for the most part if one side
moves, the other side is moving also. This has never been an issue for me with the off roading I do. I don't use it for rock crawling. |
