Default Bobcat bow kill

I shot this bobcat on 10/14/08 while bowhunting for deer. It's only the second bobcat I've seen alive in my whole life, so it was pretty special for me. I know there are a lot of them around, but you hardly ever see em, or I don't anyway. My wife was excited for me too until I told her I was going to have it mounted, then her mood changed a bit. She knew what she was getting into when she married me.

That was a good shot with a bow. How far out was he? We have them around here in TN but I hardly ever see them either and I live out in the country. Mostly coyotes in my neck of the woods and they are getting plentiful as well as a lot braver.

That's a good size cat. Did he walk up on you in the woods? I think I would have to have it mounted also....

I think so too. I just can't figure out how I wanna have it done. Do I have it just standin there with a squirrel hangin out of it's mouth, or do I have it pouncing on a rabbit. I guess it depends on how much money I wanna spend. Maybe I'll get it done so I can sit it up in a window sill like a house cat. I bet I wouldn't have to worry about burglers breakin in, LOL!

I saw one in a restaurant in Miss. and the bob cat was down in attack mode and there was a stuffed snake coiled up in front of him. It looked awesome.

Bout 20 yards. He never knew what hit em. We've got too many coyotes round here too. Yeah mphillip he just walked up. He was huntin just like I was. I'm just glad I was huntin out of a tree.
