Good point, I am surprised the tail lights go out also. Usually LEDs (if that's what they are) have a wider working voltage range

Hey folks. This ended up being a wonky ground connection into the rocker switch. I had originally reused the one that was there for the old, old halogen lights that were installed. I ran a new ground back to a connection on the frame, and everything is working normally now. Not sure how that makes any sense though, lol.
