Default Need help with identification

Searched here and on ezgo's web site for year info, plugged in what I thought was the serial number with no luck. It's a TXT, the tag say's C399 1158948.
I lost reverse and don't know where to start hunting down the problem. What is the most likely thing to fail ? Micro switch or contacts. The rack and pinion is just below the dash not on the axle.
Where is the best place for EZGO parts?

Thanks

"If you Can't fix it with a Hammer,
You've got an electrical problem"....
and some of those CAN be fixed with a hammer.

last 2 digits of the manufacture code is the year it was made.
