Default How to bypass pedal microswitch on Gator TE

I have an eletric deere gator. The pedal safety micro switch has disintegrated. It has 3 wires Red, White abd black. Can I bypass this to move the cart out of the field?

The pedal switch three wire harness then feeds into a two wire that has battery pack voltage across it.

Maybe just jump a red and green?

If that is the connector shown in the second picture, then yes. As the switch is no longer useable, then cut the white and black from the switch and bridge them. That should get you moving again till you get a new switch.

I bridged red/ green and it works. Hope that's ok.

Those sensors from John Deere are $70 a piece. And the electric Gator is literally covered in them. I ordered the original part this time but I am expecting to revisit this Rodeo frequently. They have put them all over everything.

I'm trying to figure out if there is a cheaper alternative like just getting a potted IP67 micro switch and splicing them in.

The original Honeywell part number is UM10E90FS1. I just can't find them anywhere in quantities less than 2000 and so I'm wondering if anyone knows a suitable alternative or where to get them?

It may be worth trying a heating control supplier for the part. Honeywell dont like supplying to the public in small amounts, but a control supplier might have access to stock and sell just one to you.

Or as you say, maybe an alternative switch and modify how it is mounted. Just google, micro switch and Limit switch. you may even find one with the same mounting points and dimensions.
