Looks like just an aftermarket volt meter, that should be cheap and easy to replace to help make a sale.
It would be easy enough to turn that into a 4 seater with a small utility/ storage bed or mount for a cooler. Whichever way you decide to go with it, good luck and keep us posted.

It runs fine but batteries that came with it are pretty much shot

From the pics that looks really good. Volt meter is missing, and headlight bucket, no big deal. I would love to have it. What are you looking for in an "updated" cart?

Any local church or venue that need to move people around would pay big for that machine if it is in smooth, reliable, clean, running condition.

It would want that volt meter in that thing. It will flatten the batteries pretty quick with a load of women at a winery. Then you got problems... I would want it for...well just because it is cool..

PM me if you have a price in mind.

Thumbs up Re: Refurb or trade/sell as is?

As far as a trade, ideally looking for a 4 seater, similar age or newer that isn't the stock white/beige/green, 48v, with a lift, off-road tires. Again that would be ideal, but I'm somewhat flexible if someone is looking to trade that has a need for more seating. Just wanting something that we can use without having to refurb it, otherwise I'd probably just get this one fixed up to sell and use the cash to buy one for us.

Thanks for the feedback so far all, its helping & it looks like there's interest so its more likely I can trade it.
