Re: 1994 Club Car DS Question
Since we're on the topic - what years did Club Car manufacture 36 volt solid state carts? This question has come up a couple times lately with no definitive answer. I always assumed in 93 and some in 94, but the diagrams for some odd reason say otherwise. I have NEVER seen one earlier than 93, and I've only seen a handful of 94s.

Re: 1994 Club Car DS Question
I'd debate it. The 36 volt solid state carts are just as easy to troubleshoot as the coil carts were, they're extremely simplified. No OBC to go bad, and no coils to waste energy, it's like they were in the middle of the technology gap between the old and new systems. The V-glides rarely mess up on them, the solenoids go out pretty regularly , and if that ain't the problem chances are it's the controller or a battery problem. I'd take a coil cart over the new PITA to troubleshoot carts just about any day, but given the choice I'd take the 93 or 94 solid state cart every time.

Re: 1994 Club Car DS Question
ya ? whats your cost to replace controller ? $400~$600
coils $125 ~$200 i really don't believe in the waste of energy claims... we run them wide open so coils are not in engaged ... yes we start out using coils but only for a 1/2 second each i would love to take a coil cart and a controller cart and run them side by side and see what the travel distance is .. anyone got connections at Daytona ? |
