Disc brakes to an AllSport lift?
6" AllSport Super Sport DS lift... any one add disc brakes to the front of their cart with this lift kit? If so, what brand or setup have you used?

I don't know whos front disc brakes you are wanting, but you will need to send them your spindles for modification to mount the calipers at the very least.

Re: Disc brakes to an AllSport lift?
Wish someone that has done this would chime in cause I'm in the same boat with All Sport lift, stopping with the rear drum is difficult on a big hill in the woods.... Gets a little sketchy!!!

wheelsca.com is the only company that I know of that has two and 4 wheel disc brake kits, and like I already said, you will need to send them your spindles for modification, cost is around 8 bills for the kit.

Contact ScottyB (www.cartsunlimited.net), he is a site sponsor and he sells those kits. I am sure he can answer all your questions.
Good Luck! |

Re: Disc brakes to an AllSport lift?
Wow!!!! Thats bout 700 more than I'm willing too spend! My brother has 1 of those off name 70cc 4wheelers he bought for his daughter 5 years ago and she only got too ride it a few months b4 it started falling apart. He's not much on fixing stuff like that and it just got put in the garage to collect dust. If I can talk him out of it hopfully I can come up with a way to mount it all. I been planning on buying new front spindels anyways so I will use the old first to make proto type, hope I can make this work!!!

Re: Disc brakes to an AllSport lift?
Old thread, but I have just done a Jake's front hydraulic disc brakes on a Club Car with 7.5 All Sport A-arm lift.
It is simple if you have any welding experience. The tube for the All Sport spindle is 1.25". The hole in the Jake's 08' and up kit (just has flat brackets) is 1.25". remove paint/powercoat from both pieces, slide the bracket up on the Allsport tube, assemble the brakes entirely, configure the bracket in the right spot, tack weld. Disassemble back down the spindle, cover the spindle (welding slag) and weld up. Install as normal. Easy Breasy, $312 Front brakes! |
