Heat and noise reduction
TXT Freedom (gas) 2014 with a Kawasaki engine. We have just replaced the body, wheels and lifted it 3". Looking for advice on how to reduce the heat coming out from just behind the front seat. There are two large open areas just above the engine. And suggestions on noise reduction. Should we replace the muffler? Does insulating help? Thank you for any suggestions.

Re: Heat and noise reduction
There are two openings, just behind the front seat that allow serious heat and noise to escape engine compartment. Any suggestions as to covering? Or Re-directing the hot air? Someone suggested lining the engine compartment with Noico sound deadening mats. Has anyone tried it? Sure would love some advice or guidance...

Re: Heat and noise reduction
This is what is supposed to cover those holes...https://www.everythingcarts.com/p-82...s-2008-up.aspx
It will cut down on the noise and divert the heat to under the cart and out the back. |

Re: Heat and noise reduction
Thank you so much Newtjl! I ordered them! Do you think it is ok to line the bottom of the front seat with Noico sound deadening mats? Another poster showed theirs and suggested it, but theirs was a Yamaha and so I didn't know if the EzGo gas would be ok to do as well. Thanks again for the advice! It is greatly appreciated!

Re: Heat and noise reduction
I honestly cant say about the noise insulation material. My only concern would be how heat from the engine compartment affects it. You will have a major noise reduction when your seat strut covers are installed. If everything is working correctly, the cart should be reasonably quiet.
