Default 2016 Yamaha G29 brakes skip, low noise

i recently bought a used 2016 Yamaha G29 with the madjax 6" lift, and all terrain wheels and tires.
My question is when braking in forward there is a slight rub/skip much like a warped rotor feel but it does not happen in reverse. it is very slight but still enough to bother me. cart also has a slight rub every now and then when applying brakes.
Any idea what it could be or where to start looking? Cart has drum brakes on both sides, they appear to be adjusted equally and both cables seem in good position. any assistance is greatly appreciated.

The little metal clip still on the lug stud? If so, Chuck it.

Yes, they are only there to keep drums on pre cart assembly. Yamaha issued a bulletin to Chuck them.

Looks like a funny looking silver washer. They have caused me a lot of problems with aftermarket wheels.

Trust me on this, I been Yamaha golf cart certified since 2007.

pulled off both rear drum washers and cleaned the brakes out some and BAM my whole *** problem is fixed. Couldn't believe it was that simple.

GCtech you are the man!! I was out there the whole time thinking there's no way this was going to fix this problem. It felt like the whole rear end wanted to fall out when I hit the brakes... Removed the metal rings and it's perfect... Unbelievable. Thank you!!

Read this thread, ran out to the garage and removed the clips. With 23" tires on 14" rims and 2.5" spacers on each side, the cart would shake itself to death every time you hit the brakes. Had already pulled the drums twice looking for issues, but kept putting the clips back on. Thanks!

Description- remove the rear wheels, unlock parking brake, attempt to slide drum off... does it come off? Yes- clips weren't there & arent your problem, No- remove the clips that are preventing the drums from sliding off. Re-assemble everything that came off, except the clips that are in the trash can.
