2013 EFI - Installing High Speed Gears

My cart came with the high speed gears installed. The tradeoff is loss of low end torque which is very noticable if you try to start up on an incline.

I am a Yamaha Dealer, there is no option from the factory involving high speed gears on the gas golf cars. This option is an aftermarket option in which some dealers install on their carts. Installing these gears completely voids the manufacturers warranty as the parts have been altered from Manufacturers Specs.

I install these gears for many customers, in my experience there is only danger from higher speeds and not damage to engine or rear end parts. I require my customers to sign a waiver stating I am not liable for injury. I have not seen any injury nor damage to parts. The gear kits run around $500 retail, generally sold $150 less through me.

Installed, I have seen speeds around 32+ MPH.
