Default Battery cable removal

Can somebody point me to the thread that tells you what cables to disconnect first when upgrading the controller and solenoid? I seem to have remembered reading somewhere that there is an order or at least one first. I have a 48 volt 2006 precedent and next week will be upgrading to an Altrax DCX 400IQ, 2ga cables, and the HD solenoid. Any help is appreciated.

you need to put cart in tow and disconnect the 1st cable and the last cable on the system.......that is your main pos and main neg cables.....that cuts power to the pack, you can work on controller and solenoid and than you can remove and replace 1 cable at a time.....make those 2 hook-ups your last...........................

Ok thanks. I thought I read somewhere to remove the ground first. Is that correct?

It never hurts. The reason is so you don't ground out the POS post with a wrench when removing the cable.
