Smoked coils
The other day I took out my cart and a minute into the trip, it stopped like I turned it off. I flipped up the seat to see smoke. I have a Briggs 18 vanguard. Seems the ignition switch backfed power down the ground wires and cooked the coils. Has this happened to anyome else? I am using the original switch that came from the factory by the way. I'm afraid to hook up a new switch for fear of this happening again. Any thoughts?
