Gas yamaha
My G1 cart takes 10 to 15 seconds to get going when I accelerate it seems to do this more as the motor gets warmer sometimes I put it in reverse then back to forward and away she goes

Sounds like a clutch problem to me. Make sure the spring is good, clutches and belt are not worn and they are functioning properly
