Re: 2021 Icon Lithium Conversion
Alright. I got the new batteries and did some mods to the battery compartment to maximize space and the weight. My thought was I wanted to get the weight forward and in the middle.
First thought is Lithium is way better if you live with hills. I drove about 11 miles tonight for the first time on the batteries and used about .6 volts from the batteries. Going up hills was a night and day difference. On the cart speedometer which we all know is off I could only manage 16 to 18 mph. I crested the hill today at 21 which is a huge improvement. On the long sustained grade prior to the steep section I was at 27 while maintaining 49 volts. The voltage never dropped below 48 during the maiden voyage. Voltage at start 53.3 and sits at 52.7 post trip. So far I am very happy. But I only got them in the cart last night. Best part though is the 3 hours to charge vs 8-10 on the AMG batteries. |
