New custom floor
Shout out to Chevelle396 for the idea and source. Decided to ditch the carpet in one of my westerns and install synthetic teak as well. Added a heel pad after the fact because that one spot was getting dirty. I was pleasantly surprised. Easy to install if you use your old floor as a template. Total job took about 1 hour. May do the back tailgate carpet too now that I got the hang of it.

Nice. I want to do that on my Sun Classic. Where did you get the material?

Re: New custom floor
Thanks! Got the material on eBay. They do sell it on amazon as well but it was almost double the price. Specific one I bought is eBay item # 142845091163

Re: New custom floor
I just followed exactly how the carpet was. The gas pedal just slips right over and that black trim piece was there for the carpet. It gives it a clean look. The brake pedal is cut and again that black trim piece strip covers the seam. The rest is all once piece. I guess you could remove the brake pedal to get no cuts at all but since I wasn't tearing down the cart for a complete rebuild I didn't do that.
The heel pad is from amazon its some of that non slide material with self adhesive you put on the bottom of lamps or appliances to make them not slide on the counter. |
