Default Re: Shorter Belts and 28 degree driven clutch

I am trying to covert my clutch in my 1992 marathon 4 stroke to a 28 degree clutch and I am having trouble finding the parts. They want to sell me the whole clutch and I just want the cam and buttons to covert my.

According to BU forums I need
BU seemed lost and wanted me to buy the whole clutch

1 - 72329-go1 - cam
3 - 72324-go1 - buttons

If anyone can help me find these without having to buy the whole clutch please let me know where and how much?

also want to order the yamaha belt while I am at it 39" blt yao 1339

Thanks
Brian

Have you talked to any local ezgo dealers in your area, they should be able to get you those parts with no problems. I get the feeling BU only does whats best for BU, they make a bunch off of those clutches so it's in their best interest to not sell the parts.

Your cart already has the shortest ezgo belt, I believe if your wanting to try that your going to need the yamaha belt. Someone has posted about that in this thread already, http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...rter-belt.html. check it out.

Hey frogger I have a 91 4-stroke as well and I run a Yamaha 85 newer belt on mine. It is 39.5 long and 1.25 wide and I love it. But I have also listened to the others here on BGW and ordered my 28 degree parts for the clutch. They ran me $62 and some change. I going to give them a try and I'll let you know the results. Have fun with your project.

Ok I've got a question do you guys run the 28 degree clutch and the torque spring? I'm just trying to get my tall tired pig to run a little better and I need to figure out what I've got for the clutch parts right now.
