Default Club car charging question IQ PLUS

I am very sorry if this has been brought up before. I've searched the site but could not find the answer. I have two carts now. I have a 1996 CC villager 48v which had a bad OBC, which i bypassed. I bought a DCI charger from Scotty about a year and a half ago and bypassed my OBC on that cart. Charges great and everything works great with my now year old Trojans. Well, today i Picked up a 2006 CC transporter 4 which is sweet. It has the IQ plus system with the on board charger. It did not have batteries but i took the risk at $400. Its in great shape by the way. I took the battery pack from my first cart and put it in the transporter. Ran perfect!!. I had run the pack on my other cart for a total of no more than an hour use from a full charge. I plugged my transporter in , with these batteries, to test the charging system. When I plugged it in there was a few second delay and then the charger kicked on. I assumed everything was fine. it jumped up to about 15 amps but then within the first hour it went to about 5 amps and has been holding there for about 3 hrs. It's buzzing and charging. What i noticed though is that the batteries are making a bubbling sound and I can smell a faint odor of eggs. It is charging in my garage so that may contribute to the smell. My first cart, that i had this pack in with the DCI charger, I always charged outside because it was at my campground so I may have never heard the sounds from the batteries or the smell. I took a reading with the charger plugged in, after they were on for the 3 hrs, and my meter read around 60v (while still plugged in). I figure thats high because of it being plugged in. I guess my questions are, is the bubbling noise and smell normal? And, is the 5 amp reading and not budging normal after about an hour of being plugged in? I'm going to keep it plugged in overnight and hope that I don't fry my new pack and see if it shuts off. I'm hoping the OBC isn't bad and sure don't feel like spending the money on another DCI charger. I love that charger and the bypass on my first cart. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm sorry if I'm repeating the subject.
