club Car XRT 1550 Swingarm Bushing Replacement
I have a 2009 club Car XRT 1550 and noticed a loud popping, found the Swingarm Bushing are gone/missing completely, Any pointers on replacing them it is 400 miles away on a hilltop about 40 miles from the Mexican boarder.
Limited tools, at best,. Thanks DC |

Re: club Car XRT 1550 Swingarm Bushing Replacement
It's called an Isolator ring and bushing (#6 in the pic) and there are 4 of them in each corner of the engine cradle.
Club Car part #102370501 The parts list says it's a 12mm bolt, so the head of the bolt and nut "might be" 14 or 15mm, and will require 2 wrenches to remove it. (and a needle nose or regular pliers for the cotter pin) Click pic to enlarge: 08XRT1550engine.jpg Also included is the complete parts list in pdf for an 08 XRT1550 diesel, If your 09 has the Kawasaki twin, it's the same part number! Hope this helps! |

Re: club Car XRT 1550 Swingarm Bushing Replacement
I stand corrected!
It's obvious that I don't know anything about the 1550's, except that they're a Club Car, and 3 times bigger than my cart! 078.jpg At least I hope the parts list helped! |

Re: club Car XRT 1550 Swingarm Bushing Replacement
I'd just drive it back. That's a grade 8 bolt it's not going anywhere.
Could Squirt some windsheild urethane in there and make a temporary bushing so you can drive it back to your shop and do the repairs. If you're out in the middle of nowhere with it You really should have a tool kit do to basic repairs in the field. A set of sockets and wrenches, hammer, pliers, prybar, couple screwdrivers, etc. Couple spare bushings and a spare belt. Most things on a golf cart can be fixed with basic tools in only a few minutes. |

I realize this is an older post, but my rear bushings went bad. How did you go about replacing them?
