Default GPS results with new motor and controller

Just got back as promised and ran on paved roads. Alltrax 500amp controller d&d motor 22" tires and 5" lift. On level ground it ran about 23 mph, slight downhill it averaged about 27 mph and slight incline about 20mph. Went up a pretty good hill and it never dropped below 14mph. I assume that's good, but I am a little concerned about the incline. Is this normal?

Depends on the incline. What kind of condition are your batteries in?

They just got finished charging and they were purchased in mid 08. That brings up another question... How can I tell what condition the batteries are in? I always thought you could only tell if they were good or bad.

If the downhill was the same hill you used for your incline, I would say your good. Gained 4 downhill, lost 3 up hill... but I am just talking out my a$$... seems like it would be right though!
