rear wheel clicking noise
I'd like to start off by saying hi, this is my first post. Deffinitly not last. I have a 92 txt. The drivers side rear wheel makes a clicking noise when I turn right or break. I can't stand the noise. I've been trying to figure out whats wrong with it for a couple weeks. Does anyone know what it is? It's deffinitly coming from the wheel and not the motor or center of the axel. It seems to be coming from the drum itself.

Re: rear wheel clicking noise
First thing that comes to mind is a loose wheel, or maybe a hub.

Re: rear wheel clicking noise
I've checked them for tightness. Is there anything else I should be looking for?

Re: rear wheel clicking noise
Jack that wheel off the ground and see if there's any play in it. The hub/drum nut is under the dust cover and it should be tighter than dick's hat band

Ya ever have a rock inside a tire? Drives ya nuts! While you have it up, check the tire for a nail or other things. Nails, rocks will cause a click click noise when driving.. |

Re: rear wheel clicking noise
sorry man, its not a txt then. Its a 1994 medalist I think. I just pulled the wheel off. The castle nut that keeps the hub on was really loose. I tightened the sh*t out of it, put the wheel back on, tightened the sh*t out of that. The noise isnt as bad, but its still there. Any more idea's? My guess is it has to be something in the drum itself.

Re: rear wheel clicking noise
It's not something on the tire. It sounds like its coming from inside.
