Others are not following what the OP is saying. The cart is taking off wide open when it goes. Neither a block of wood or a new motor is going fix this.

I can picture that old man wrecking and barrel rolling down the cart path at 40mph. If he lives through that thinking: "I'ts a dang good thing that fella put a block of wood under the go pedal, I could have been running a hundred."
