Default 94 club car governor question

New to golf cars...is it typical, that the governor momentarily turns off the motor when at full throttle? I thought it would simply stabilize. My new purchase stops motor, then lts off again, and does this over and over when pedal is fully mashed. If I back up on pedal, ever so slightly then it's ok. Adjustment issue or is it the nature of the beast? Thank you.

Sounds like someone tightened up the governor too much.. The engine is overreving and the rev limiter is cutting the ignition.. Try backing off on the governor a bit..

Drmax, check this link. It will give you some more information on how to properly adjust the gov.

Personally, I find Club Cars the most difficult to adjust, just have patience.
