Windshield restore
Got to playing around a bit this evening and the old windshield off the 01 DS donor cart was only the bottom half and it is a mess. Thought I'd see what I could do to clean it up a little.
Got out my trusty Porter Cable 7424XP polisher and a fresh bottle of Meguiars M205 finishing polish, taped off a section of the windshield and went to town on both sides. The result was nothing less than amazing. I have a total of about 20 minutes into this, start to finish. I imagine that a whole windshield can be completed in less than an hour. If anyone has a windshield that is a scratched up mess, this might be an alternative to a new one! Pics The whole windshield is clean, but you can obviously see the difference in the unpolished and polished parts. Another view. |
