No Reverse

Hello all,

Not sure if this is posted in the right forum, this is pertaining to a Bad Boy Buggie and I assume they’re pretty close to EZGO as far as electrical system.

A friend of mine has just a standard old Bad Boy Buggie Classic, don’t know the year or any specs on it, that works fine in forward but no reverse. Last time I drove it you could eventually make it reverse by flipping F&R switch back and forth until it decided to go, but I think it’s gotten to the point where there’s no reverse at all.

He wants me to help look into dignosing/fixing it before it goes to a shop and costs an arm and a leg. Going to look at it tomorrow. I’ve always owned gas carts so I don’t know where to begin on this one. What do I need to look into?

I would suspect the switch is bad.

Any way I can go about testing that to confirm?

You are in the EZ-GO section. I have not seen the cart. I have not seen the switch or a diagram of the wiring. I don't want to tell you to do something that might cause further harm.

Having said that, if it was mine I would switch the wires for F & R. Or, bypass the reverse part of the switch and see what happens.
