2014 carryall 550 EFI issues
I have a question regarding the 2014 subaru EFI motors. I am a mechanic at a facility where we have several of these ranging from 800 to over 1000 hours. Every last one has been to the dealer (some more than once) for fuel in the oil. They have mentioned something about the injector failing and it's a known issue. Up until now it has been warranty work. I would like to make these repairs in house from now on to avoid dealer bills. Does anybody know what exactly is failing and causes/more effective repairs for it? I am pretty handy with older carb carts but not up to par with the EFI. Any help would truly be appreciated by a mechanic who is making an attempt to learn, not be a parts changer, and make thorough repairs. Thanks!

What does the injector say on it?
Maybe you can find a better injector to swap in. Some injectors are just cheap, or maybe it needs a post pump filter |
