Default Cart Options for Build 3- options

Ok guys, I want to build my first BB Cart. My buddy has a EZ- Dealership and has 3 options for me at the moment.

1st is 2001 Work Horse 1200.
Body and frame are good, just need to take of the ugly cage.
Rear end is there. No engine, but everything else looks present.
I can get it for $300

2nd
Think it is a 98, some kids rolled it over so the body is bent a little on top of the cowl. Engine and everything else is in tact.
~$350

3rd option is a 96 club car rebuilt engine from the shop, new seat, runs and drives perfect $1600

No Pic, but it is cherry.

The dilemma is will it take more than $1300 to get option 1 or 2 to the condition I can get the cherry one for.

Since I already plan on spending 2k for the BB Kit and lift etc. not sure if it worth the work.
What you guys think??

I'd go with the workhorse, sell the cage and recoup some money for the BB

My vote is the work horse, you can do something your way for $1300.

If you know for sure that the cart is getting a big block go with the work horse. The 98 Club Car rear end turns opposite the big block so that complicates things a bit. If you want a nice cart with a great factory motor get the 96 Club Car especially if it is in good condition. That seems to be a fair price, not a total steal, but a fair price. Both carts are pretty easy to lift. Just my $.02

Yea if all it needs is a motor I would say that's not bad at all. As far as the cage goes I guess if you can't sell it you can always scrap it for a couple of bucks.

You can sell that cage easy on CL or Ebay.
I would buy it if it were closer..and I surely vote for that 1200 series Workhorse.

You will be able to have a great cart for what you want to spend..!
Seems like a good price also..

I'd go for the horse. Longer frame = more room to cram the motor in there. As for the cage, depending on the riding you will do, you may want to keep it or at least install it when you need it to go romping in the woods with branches and briers.

My 2 cents

Update,

Going to get the workhorse and I got a little better deal than expected. $250

Plus I will get a driven clutch (used) thrown in since the Workhorse is missing it.

Going to be a fun Project!
